Happy New Year to all...
Sorry no pictures this time (which is such a bummer) because my camera battery was dead and I had left the charger at my sister-in-laws during Christmas, but there were some candid pictures to obtain New Year's Eve night!
My day started with a slight scare in my cousin who is 27 years old, rushed to St. Francis with possible brain aneurysm. Thank God, she is doing okay. It was a brain clot causing a sinus of blood in her brain due to birth control. (one reason why I didn't use it long, 4 kids later...just kidding)
I stopped and got dinner, came home to a house full of 6 kids (two nephews in addition to my 4) and my father and mother-in-law...all playing our new family gift the Wii. It was a very competitive yet joyful night! The kids were outstanding in taking turns and playing without arguing or whining even at midnight.
At midnight, it was a full moon, apparently one that only happens every 19 years according to Chris...we served our sparkling grape juice stood out on the porch and toasted for family and 19 more years to come. Of course, hugged and kissed running back into the house where it was warm and to finish our bowling game!!!
To think, this night is the biggest "party" night, but this night was the best party I had without the "party". To have those dearest to you...family...to see you through another year! Those family and friends that weren't there, attending their own party...love you guys too and look forward to many more years with you as well!!

Sounds like a fun time. We are party poopers...I was sleeping at midnight, but I did get up when my brother-in-law texted a Happy New Year to us at 11:58 p.m. Happy New Year to you and yours.
ReplyDeleteOh, one more thing...Katie thinks I am crazy because I respond back to you on my own blog. She thinks you will never see it, but I say you may go back and look. So, am I wasting my efforts responding back on my own blog? It is okay to tell me....I can handle it.

ReplyDeleteNo, not really, but I do return to see if there are more comments and in doing so I see all that is there. I am a bit obsessive! LOL! And, well really, I don't have that many comments or regular readers of my blog, so yes, I am very thankful for the three of you that read my blog too. Thanks Jodie, Angie, and Katie.
ReplyDeleteYou two are funny. Sounds like you had a nice New Year's celebration. I had heard someone mention "look at the moon," but was busy at the moment and forgot to look. Sorry I missed that. Guess I'll have to wait 19 years...
